![]() When I started reading fantasy and documenting my progress on Goodreads, the above mentioned series were either completed or nearing completion. #A CLASH OF KINGS AUDIOBOOK ARCHIVE SERIES# ![]() However Stormlight Archive is still at the beginning. It is written by my all-time favorite author and it is MASSIVE! YEY! #A CLASH OF KINGS AUDIOBOOK ARCHIVE ARCHIVE# So you can imagine how excited I was to dive back into the story and to hear the awesome rendition made by the ppl over at Graphic Audio. It was pure joy for me and I flew through the book in two weeks and a half. I loved going back and meeting my favorite characters again, continuing their adventures, find out that they met one another, that they faced new challenges and were growing into more developed characters. While reading this book I kept asking myself how could WoR improve on my all-time favorite book The Way of Kings (WoK). The simple answer is: more relevant worldbuilding, more character development, a purpose for Shallan and MUCH… MORE…EPICNESS!!! While in WoK our most epic event was Kaladin saving Dalinar’s abandoned army from hundreds, thousands of Parshendi here we have 1. the humans and the half of the stormformed Parshendi fighting while the other half is summoning the Everstorm and 2. ![]() Kaladin fighting Szeth while the Everstorm and the divine summoned highstorm anomally clash. I’ll take the time here to address the Everstorm. I had a feeling that shit might hit the fan in this book, but I never anticipated the sheer SCALE of it. Here’s where those interludes, that everyone who doesn’t like these books think they are useless, really show their worth. The ones with Eshonai and the listeners ( Parshendi) in particular are extremely relevant to the story and mustn’t be skipped. #A CLASH OF KINGS AUDIOBOOK ARCHIVE SERIES#.#A CLASH OF KINGS AUDIOBOOK ARCHIVE ARCHIVE#.
